Busy again

I got a chance to chat with my friend in Ireland and she joined the Nancy group at Yahoo. Hooray! Been busy trying to find things to post for the new group.
I have made my decision about school and I will take a break. Not sure how long. I will look into classes here in town.
Sister did well today working with Roommie. She behaved and got paid for her work. WOW

Why is BTK defending himself?
Why hasn't Congress passed the Children's Safety Act yet?
Oh wait, I know that answer, they're too busy passing bills for energy and transportation.
The searchers in Aruba have stopped searching the pond that they have been draining for a week. Now they will concentrate on the land fill.

The new groups are hopping. I didn't think they would take off the way they did. We sure do love Nancy Grace!
On another note, I think I will be taking a break from school. Baby will be starting her school soon and I may go with her. It is a school for developmentally disabled children. It's a great program. I also want to put more into my activism/advocacy.
I will be working hard today to write a letter to congressmen and senators so people can sign.

Been busy tonite

I have been busy tonight. First we went shopping for the girls to get some cloths. Then we actually went OUT for dinner!!! Then home to watch the NY Yankees game. They lost but what else did I expect from our pitching. Anyway, I will move on before I go off on a tangent about that. I joined some more Yahoo! groups concerning crime, law and justice. In one of our groups, we are discussing writing a uniform letter to our senators, congressmen and such in support of the new Children's Safety Act (H.R. 3132) 2005. I would really love it if we could get Nancy Grace and Mr. Mark Lunsford and other advocates in on it.
This will be a short night for me. I'm off to watch the third running of Nancy Grace at 1am on CNN Headline News. They run her first airing twice more every night.

I have to hand it to....

......good ole Nancy Grace, she sure is a passionate person. She's tough on criminals and soft on the victims. I honestly can't stand defense attorneys. They are always coming up with excuses for their defendants, trying to get them out of trouble. It's always "I'm insane" or "I was high" or "God told me to do it". Ugh Give me a break! I admit at one point in my life I helped a defense attorney get my now ex out of trouble and boy do I feel guilt for that one. My ex was sure guilty! Anyway, it's my life's dream to become a criminal prosecutor. Now to accomplish that is the question. I once wanted to be a foreign language teacher. LOL Well we see where that went.
Today I read an article about the guy who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart. The powers-that-be say he is insane. His religious beliefs leave a little to be desired but who are we to judge. Speaking of judge, a circuit court judge says the suspect will undergo psychiatric evaluation and therapy until he is deamed compitent to stand trial for his actions. This is a bunch of hooey! His religious rights are being stripped from him. Just because he believes something different doesn't mean he's insane. Now, I do believe he used the insane bit to his advantage by faking nutty outbursts in court. I also believe he did the crime itself. I hope he has fun in prison. My problem is the treatment of a person's religious rights. That's what our forefathers fought for. Send this guy to prison. Quit spending the taxpayers money on guys who aren't insane. Lock him up and throw away the key.

Hello folks

Today sure has been interesting, for lack of a better word. Took Baby to her eye appointment and she did so good, she always is so good for the doctors. Sister, on the other hand, was such a grouch. She didn't want to help with Baby too much. I wanted to hang her up by her toenails.
I've been thinking about this e-journal thing and I've decided that I will express my feelings and to hell if it bothers someone. We all have the right to express ourselves. I promise I won't try to offend anyone too much.
I was talking with a friend this evening about a mutual acquaintance. She has been having problems with her boyfriend. Well, as most of you know, I honestly could care less what a man thinks, as long as he is responsible and takes care of his own. Anyway, this mutual friend says she has been verbally chastised by this guy. Just because she has gained a little weight and asks him to take her places. That just pisses me off. Please don't sit there and complain about the guy, do something about it. You are your own self, girl, do right by yourself. We women did not fight for years to still be treated like we were trash or even worse, a sex toy. Step up, girl, you are too smart for him. You have a great job, you are successful at it. You have your own place, make that work for you. If you have to move in order to do things, then by God, do so. Believe you me, I have been in this type of predicament before. I was one of the lucky ones who had someone on my side, helping me. If you need that, girl, then you know how to reach me. Just because you are visually impaired, doens't mean you have to settle. You have to have spiritual courage.
Now, on to the next rambling!
My God, when will the Aruban government get their act together and work this Natalee Holloway case right. So now there is mysteriously one new witness who says he saw van der Sloot and friends in a car that he sideswiped and two others who claim they saw the Kalpoe brothers' car in their neighbourhood. Come on! How is it that all the sudden they pop up. Are they looking for the reward. The reward is now at $1 million for her safe return. $100 thousand for information. Sounds hinky to me. Nancy Grace had a guy on her show tonight who used to be an Atlanta police officer, now a P. I., he has gone to Aruba and gone out on foot and went door to door and asked questions of the people. Why haven't the police there done this? Hmmmm.....
My Auntie and Grammie are coming up to visit soon. It's been a while since I've seen them. We will go out for my birthday. I feel old only because my memory is getting real bad. My mum thinks it's just an excuse but she's wrong. She doesn't live in my shoes everyday. I forget to look at my "daily list of things to do".
Well, I can hear Roomy snoring all the way upstairs so I guess it's time to go to bed. I probably won't be able to fall asleep easily again. Oh well, you can sleep when you're dead, right?
Oh yeah, I'm still considering taking a trip to New York next month, that should be loads of fun. My lucky mum gets to go to Ireland in September. I wanna go! I'm thinking about fostering my friend in Brazil's son as an exchange student. That should be excellent!

Oh my, it's late and I should......

....really go to bed but I can't sleep. A lot is on my mind tonight. I have to get up early to take Baby to an eye appointment. It will be so hot. Sister has to go with us because her Dad will be at work. They will both get cranky because of the heat, and walking, because we have to ride the bus. I wish I could drive. I wish it weren't so gosh darned hot. Why is it so hot? Oh yeah, the ozone layer is disappearing because of toxic gasses that the world produces. So it will be bad weather all the time. Speaking of bad weather, Auntie and Grammie live where there are a lot of hurricanes. That's bad! My friend in Ireland never has bad weather. My friend in Brazil always has beautiful weather. I wish I could go to Brazil and Ireland. Maybe they will come back to the states soon. The US is going crazy! All these criminals don't give us a good reputation. Why are so many innocent people getting hurt? I wish I had guts like Nancy Grace. She is my role model. She was a criminal prosecutor and still a victim's rights advocate. More people need to stand up for the children. Wow, okay, I really should go to bed now. Blessed be to all.
